Pokemon Blue – Chapter 10: And in the End, the Love You Take is Equal to the Love You Make

Photobucket

An update on Weedle’s stats before I do this.

Not sure why he doesn’t appear, maybe caught it before it showed up or something.

Photobucket

Well, here we go.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Hi

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Except Ice is a terrible defensive type.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Well maybe if I didn’t have full heals.

Photobucket

Yes. Yes I am.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Dewgong moves:

Growl, Aurora Beam, Rest, Take Down.

Photobucket

Hmm. Dewgong wasn’t even hurt.

There’s an explanation for this: Basically R/B/Y’s Pokémon AI will nearly always use moves of a type that is super effective against a Pokémon. Rest is psychic type, thus Dewgong will ONLY USE REST.

Yeah, it’s kinda silly.

Also annoying since Poison Sting can’t actually do enough damage to interrupt his rest. And enemies have infinite PP so I can’t even run her out of Rests.

Photobucket

Struggle can though.

Photobucket

Cloyster moves:

Supersonic, Clamp, Aurora Beam, Spike Cannon

Photobucket

Photobucket

I can’t do much damage to it. Cloyster is a fucking TANK. A little overshadowed in Gen II because of Forretress and Skarmory. He became a little obsolete in Gen IV, but the addition of Shell Smash in Gen V made him super friggin powerful, changing him from a great wall into an extremely threatening sweeper.

Cloyster’s one of my favourite Pokémon.

Photobucket

No match for Weedle though.

Photobucket

Slowbro moves:

Water Gun, Growl, Withdraw, Amnesia

Photobucket

Another Pokémon falling into the use only psychic types trap.

There’ll be a few more like that too, including 3/5 of Lance’s team.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Jynx moves:

Doubleslap, Ice Punch, Body Slam, Thrash

Photobucket

Photobucket

Lapras moves:

Body Slam, Confuse Ray, Hydro Pump, Blizzard

In case you haven’t been paying attention to the moves, Lapras is the only credible threat on Lorelei’s team, all the others have retarded movesets. Especially Slowbro. Go take a look at its moves again.

Yeah.

Photobucket

Whoops. Eh, can’t dodge them all.

Photobucket

Doesn’t matter though, I win in the end.

Photobucket

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Hi

PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Photobucket

How do you know my name?

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Hah. Onix is a really crappy Pokémon at this point in the game. At least Lorelei’s Pokémon were decent, her choice in moves aside.

Moves:

Rock Throw, Rage, Slam, Harden

Photobucket

This Onix actually got rage-locked and I just let poison kill it, making it do like 5 damage with a hit and not having any chance to use another move.

Photobucket

Moves:

Ice Punch, Mega Punch, ThunderPunch, Counter

Photobucket

Photobucket

Forgot to screenshot his sending out. No matter.

Hitmonlee moves:

Jump Kick, Focus Energy, Mega Kick, Hi Jump Kick

Actual decent moves there for once. Too bad Hitmonlee is terrible.

Photobucket

Second Onix:

Same as the first one.

Photobucket

Same strategy applies. Poison, wait for death.

Photobucket

Machamp moves:

Leer, Focus Energy, Fissure, Submission

Also crap, Submission has 80 power and 80 accuracy, but has 25% recoil.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Photobucket

Oh crap.

Photobucket

Hi

PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Photobucket

Okay. Agatha is going to suck. I’ve said it before, I’m reiterating it here.

Why?

A few reasons.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

This being the biggest one.

Until this guy is dead, I can’t buff up with X items.

Other reasons for suckage:

Every one of her Pokémon is poison type, meaning I can’t poison them. They also either 4x or 2x resist poison sting.

She likes to switch Pokémon. She’s the only notable trainer who does it and it’s quite annoying when you have her Gengar ¾ killed and she brings in her Golbat.

4/5 of her Pokémon have Confuse Ray.

LUCKILY, none of her Pokémon are really threatening.

Photobucket

Fuck yeah. Now I can buff up and possibly take her out.

Golbat’s moves:

Supersonic, Confuse Ray, Wing Attack, Haze

Photobucket

First Gengar’s moves:

Confuse Ray, Night Shade, Hypnosis, Dream Eater

Photobucket

Haunter moves: Same as first Gengar

Photobucket

Arbok moves:

Bite, Glare, Screech, Acid

Photobucket
Photobucket

Second Gengar’s moves:

Confuse Ray, Night Shade, Toxic, Dream Eater

Yeah, it has Dream Eater with no way to put me to sleep.

The movesets in this game are absolutely retarded.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

And here’s proof that Caterpie and Magikarp are literally impossible, in case you didn’t believe me.

Photobucket

Mmhmm.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Hi

PhotobucketPhotobucket

I do?

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Are they now?

Spoilers: They’re not.

Photobucket

This is a lie. A terrible, terrible lie.

Photobucket

Are you?

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Gyarados moves:

Hydro Pump, Dragon Rage, Leer, Hyper Beam

An actual threat here, both Hydro Pump and Hyper Beam are able to 2 shot me. Luckily he’s stupid enough to throw some Leers and Dragon Rages in. That and having to recharge after using Hyper Beam.

Photobucket

Still this threat though. *sigh*

Photobucket

Photobucket

Moves: Agility, Slam, Dragon Rage, Hyper Beam

Spammed Agility like a Chump.

Photobucket

Same as the first Dragonair

Also spammed Agility like a chump.

Photobucket

Moves: Supersonic, Take Down, Bite, Hyper Beam

Only real threat is Hyper Beam.

Photobucket

Moves:

Agility, Slam, Barrier, Hyper Beam

You’d think Lance’s Dragonite would put up a credible fight, but no.

Photobucket

It also just spammed Agility like a chump.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I am a Weedle master.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

All you did was spam Agility. I hardly think you’re qualified to be a good trainer.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Well, that’s all folks. Thanks for reading along all none of you.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Oh.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Wait for it…

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Of course.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

For now.

Photobucket

Hi

PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Especially Weedle. No seriously, 5/6 of his Pokémon are good against me.

Photobucket
Photobucket

For now.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

That it’s time to kill you?

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

And you’re about to be beaten by a Weedle.

I’ll let you think about that for a bit.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Moves:

Wing Attack, Mirror Move, Sky Attack, Whirlwind

Yeah, he has Whirlwind still for some dumb reason. At least no Sand Attack.

Still not a threat either, Wing Attack can’t even 2 shot me and Sky Attack takes a turn to charge, so I can buff up in the meantime.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Moves: Psybeam, Psychic, Reflect, Recover

Would be a threat if my fully buffed Weedle took more than 2 hits to kill him.

Revenge, it is sweet.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Moves: Roar, Leer, Ember, Take Down

Why does it have Ember? WHY?!

And again, Roar doesn’t do anything in trainer battles until Gold/Silver.

Photobucket

Moves: Hypnosis, Barrage, Stomp

Not even a fourth move.

Liked to spam Hypnosis because it’s “Super Effective”

Photobucket

Well so is Poison Sting, bitch.

Fun fact: Caterpie, Metapod, Butterfree, Paras, Parasect, Scyther, Tangela, Exeggcute and Exeggutor are the only pokemon in R/B/Y that Weedle can get super effective hits against. Guess how many pop up in play past Viridian forest? Erika has a Tangela, and Blue (if you didn’t pick Squirtle) has an Exeggutor. That’s about it. Poison is a terrible offensive type.

Photobucket

Moves: Hydro Pump, Blizzard, Bite, Withdraw

Finally something that can kill me.

Photobucket

Not that it does.

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

With a Weedle.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Killed. By a Weedle.

Photobucket

To a Weedle.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

You lost to a Weedle. Your movesets were crap. You lost to a Weedle. I think that about sums it up.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Yup.

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Char-what?

Oh OH. That thing.

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

Horrible moves.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

And taught them horrible moves.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Until I refight the Elite Four anyway.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

No, it was all my doing. Do you think Weedle could have done anything without all the X items I force fed it?

PhotobucketPhotobucket

THAT THING COST ME A FORTUNE

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucket

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

The hall of Spartacus

Photobucket
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Always funny.

Photobucket

Thanks for reading nobody.
